"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, . . . He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners . . . " ~ Isaiah 61:1

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations . . . bring out endurance and steadfastness.” ~ James 1:2-3

This Scripture is so appropriate for our girls and their families, as you will see by the prayer requests below.

~ Please pray for continued healing for these girls. We are approaching the end of the 1st quarter, and these girls have a lot going on within each one of them as they process the information they are learning.

~ Pray for those who have earned on-site family visits for this Sunday, that they will be able to rejoice in spending some time with their family, all while utilizing their new coping skills.

~ Pray for the families to recognize the changes in their daughters, and have enough understanding of His grace to rejoice in the benefits their daughters are receiving from this program. Pray that all of them "consider it wholly joyful."

~ Pray for our girls to be motivated to do their school work. At this point in their progress, this can be difficult because they are processing so much, so the school work tends to sit on the back burner.

Praise God for the joy of almost 300 people gathering at last week's Informational Night for Agape House! It was very exciting to see so many new faces, and know that they had a chance to see and hear how God is working in the lives of so many girls and their families at Agape. We have over 40 new people praying for our Agape Angels as a result of this event. We are also grateful for all who donated and/or purchased silent auction items, or made a donation to help meet the needs of the girls in the Teen Home/School, Transitional Living Home, Counseling or to reduce the mortgage debt of the Counseling Center.

Praise God for the lunch program at Agape School and how beautifully all of you are coming together as His hands and feet to serve meals to these girls on a daily basis. We needed 3 people to fill some vacant spots for next week, and they have all been filled!

  • String Cheese, Crackers, Raisins, Carrots and Peanut Butter for the Home.
  • Sponsorship for new Bible study materials for the girls; we have purchased the materials in faith that the money will be there to pay for them - total cost: $180. VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

DRYER REPAIR NEEDED - we think the heating element is burned out. So if you are handy at repairing such items and willing to volunteer your time and/or materials, please contact Jan at 262-275-6466. It is a struggle having only one working dryer with so many girls in the Home.

Chimney Cleaning - The fireplace chimney in the Counseling Center needs to be cleaned before we consider using it. If you are experienced with this task and willing to volunteer your time, or maybe you would be willing to sponsor the cost to have this service provided, please contact Jan at 262-275-6466.
