Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. . .." Exodus 20:9-10

Please Pray:
~ For our Agape Angels, staff and volunteers to continually take time for a Sabbath, to rest in the Lord, and as Joyce Meyer would say, ‘get filled up at the Holy Ghost station with the Spirit’! It is so easy for all of us to get caught up in the ‘business’ of life, but if we don’t take a time out, we will surely find ourselves ill-equipped to serve our God.

~ Continued prayers for healing for all girls, volunteers, staff, family and friends.

~ For our girls and their families, as the family visit time is getting longer for most of them, that they continue to press into the issues they need to learn to cope with, trusting God to lead them safely through the journey.

Praise God:
~ For the blessings the girls received last Friday at the Spa Day’ and ‘Princess Evening’. This experience was like nothing most of these girls have ever experienced before. The love that was poured into them was awesome, and we are so grateful to everyone who contributed towards this event, whether it was skin, nail or hair care products, make up, chocolate, a wonderful luncheon, a special dinner/evening out, a massage, a dress or accessories, gift bags and goodies to fill them, or your own personal time and attention – these girls knew the love of Jesus, and were treated like the princesses they truly are – THANK YOU!

~ For the blessing of having a new screen door put on the back of the Transitional Living Home apartment – here is a special note from the receiver: “I would like to personally thank all who helped my Perfect Valentine to deliver a wonderful and needed gift to me this Valentine’s Day—a new back door!  Thank you to my friend Dena Przewznik whose generous gift helped purchase it, to Larry Wissell who picked it up from Lowe’s and to Bob Milliman who installed it. And thank you to our Lord God who knows the desires of our hearts and has helped me to be warm and cozy as well as helping Agape to better steward the resources that He has provided. He is our true Door(Jn 10:9) and says that all we have to do is “knock and the Door will be opened” (Mt 7:7)

~ For our administrative staff who work as a team to help things flow as smoothly as possible throughout this ministry. We have experienced many growing pains over the past 6 years, and yet we continue to be blessed by those who are available to help in numerous ways. Liz Pieters, our receptionist, who greets everyone coming in to the school with a smile , regardless of the amount of work she may have to do, and is always ready to assist staff and volunteers in whatever way may be needed. Jan Baker, who works behind the scenes to coordinate activities, the processing of phone calls, emails and paperwork, and as Pam’s assistant, coming alongside her to do whatever needs to be done to meet the needs of this ministry.

Forgive one another . . .

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13

Please Pray:
~ For our Agape Angels to trust enough to learn the beauty of forgiveness, in the same way that God has forgiven us, and thus, set themselves free to be all that God intends for them to be.

~ For those who are still fighting off colds, that they use discernment as to when to stay home and not come into a community environment where it can be spread so easily, and that they take time to rest in God, trusting in His timing and healing.

~ For the upcoming performance being done by the choir, Wizard of Oz (April 28th); pray for our girls to embrace the characters they are portraying so that God uses this opportunity as another means of ‘healing’, and that the girls stay healthy so they can participate as a team.

~ For Ben Patterson – continued prayers for healing from his heart surgery; for him to “Be still and know that I am God”, as he patiently wades through this time of healing.

~ For others who are struggling with a variety of health situations, that they know God’s presence as they go through this difficult time, and be filled with His wisdom and discernment as well, to get the proper care needed for their situation.

Praise God:
~ For all those who will be blessing our girls this afternoon and evening at their ‘Spa Day’ and ‘Princess Evening’. They will be pampered this afternoon with massages, manicures, facials and time to put on make up, as well as gifts to make them feel like the princesses they truly are, for them to see the love of the Lord through the hands and feet of others called by God to serve so beautifully. The girls in the Home will then be treated to a special evening out to dinner, dressed up like princesses!

~ For the blessing of a volunteer who came in to snake out one of our toilets this week – ahh, one more maintenance item taken care of! We had been plunging this toilet quite often, so hopefully this problem is resolved for now!

~ For the donation of a portable basketball hoop; this will give the girls a great outdoor activity to do once the weather starts to warm up!

~ For our counselors/bible study teachers who give of their gifts and time so diligently to help our Agape Angels courageously walk through this journey of finding their healing through Christ! For Liz King, our Director of Counseling, who is so passionate about teaching our girls about the princesses they truly are and how they can change their destiny by changing the lies in their head and speaking God’s Truth! For Sally Combs, who has such a heart for helping these girls; we are blessed to have her as a Counselor and Bible Study Teacher, as she lovingly and patiently walks with the girls until they are ready to run with this process. For Leslie Frierdich, our Counselor, who tirelessly uses her giftings with everyone she meets, always encouraging others to see the better side of themselves, and thus, sharing the love of Christ so beautifully, working with the parents, the girls in the TLH and people from the community. And for Carol Hayes, our Counselor in the East Troy office, who uses her gifts as a community counselor to reach out and serve those who desire Christian counseling for themselves, we are blessed to have her showing others the path to their own healing, as well as leading a prayer group for the ministry.

“There is no fear in love, but full-grown love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! . . . We love Him, because He first loved us” ~ I John 4:18-19

Please Pray:
~ For our Agape Angels to know the “full-grown love” that “turns fear out of doors”.  These girls are at a point in their healing where they are stepping out in faith, and that means they need to truly understand the strength of God’s love for them, and how He will help them overcome their fears.

~ For one of our girls who will be missing school for a little while as she recovers from an injury; pray that she stays focused on all that she has learned so far and continues to be strengthened in His love – we will miss her while she is out of school.

~ For the girls to continue to practice good habits that will help them stay healthy.

~ For our girls in the Home as they adjust to a new RA starting on Sunday. It can be a little unsettling to have a change in staff, especially mid-way through the year. But we believe God will work all thing out for good, and pray this is a positive experience.

Praise God:
~ For those who worked diligently over the weekend to repair our heating problem so that we had heat on Monday morning and did not have to miss any school!

~ For the joy of snow and the excitement the girls had about going sledding!

~ For donation of ‘boxed lunches’ from a cancelled event on Thursday; it worked out perfect for the girls to have lunches to take with them on their field trip today – God is so good!

~ For our teachers and the beautiful relationships they have with these girls as they continually encourage them to believe they can do what needs to be done. Carol, who is our Director of Education, brings years of experience for these girls to benefit from, as she seeks alternative learning methods according to their needs to help them be successful. Tina, our Teacher in the 2nd classroom, with such a tender heart, gets the tough task of helping the older girls with their Math – bless her; she never gives up! And Kristy, our Teacher Assistant, has a way of reaching these girls and making them feel special, trusting her to help them, bringing a never-ending variety of ideas to the classroom to help these girls get the skills they will need in life.

~ For Larry as he relentlessly keeps up with the shoveling and salting so we can all go about our way safely!

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Please Pray:
~ For our Agape Angels to allow God's goodness and hope to overcome the lies of their past (worthlessness, fear, not good enough, humiliation, uselessness, grief, disgrace, false blame and shame) and fill them with HOPE for a better tomorrow.

~ For continued healing for some of the staff, volunteers and their families who are dealing with health issues.

~ For Mickie, our new RA, as she prepares to begin on February 10th, that God will prepare her heart and spirit for the task at hand as she willingly steps out trusting Him that this is His purpose and plan for her at this season of her life!

~ For the girls and their families who have called in the last 2 months desiring to get into this program, whom we had to put on hold at this time until next Fall. Pray for them to know God's protection as they go through this waiting period, for Him to prepare their hearts to desire to be at Agape House and to have the courage to do the work that will be necessary to make a difference in their futures.

Praise God:
~ For the healing powers Jesus is pouring into our Agape Angels, allowing His love to flow, cleansing the wounds/pain from the past.

~ For our House Parents, Becky and Larry Wissell, and the blessing that they are as they continue to trust God for all their needs, including wisdom and discernment for their personal lives and in their role as steadfast house parents, as they so beautifully show His love, grace and mercy to the girls in the Home.  We are also blessed that Larry volunteers as our PE teacher once a week, showing the girls a variety of activities on a Monday morning!

~ For all of you who continue to support this ministry in so many ways so that we can continue to serve God, providing HOPE for His children.
