Endurance and Steadfastness

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations . . . bring out endurance and steadfastness.”  ~ James 1:2-3

Prayer Requests:
~ Pray for all of us, girls and staff, recognize that the trials we encounter on a daily basis are meant for our good, to bring out endurance and steadfastness.

~ Pray that our Agape Angels are turning to God every step of the way as they make adjustments to Summer.  Some of the girls returned home to their families for the Summer; some of the girls are living here part of the week so they can attend Summer School, and then have a long weekend at home; some of the girls have moved into the Transitional Living Home; and some of the girls are getting a job for the first time - so please pray for all of these needs for the girls.

~ Pray for God to open the hearts for those girls He desires to be in our program in the Fall; we are already getting calls for new girls to start our program, but it is a difficult decision for the girls to make.

~ Pray for the finances, as we have used up all of our reserves.

~ Pray for the couple that God is calling to be our next house parents, and that they will respond to His call and contact us soon so we can help them prepare for the coming year.

Praise Reports:
~ Praise God for an awesome Graduation/Year-End Recognition Ceremony last Thursday night!!! Three girls received their high school diplomas, and the remaining girls were recognized for all that they have achieved this past year as well.  It was an encouraging ceremony for all who were present to see all that God has done in the lives of the girls and their families to help bring healing to so many hurting girls.

~ Praise God for the Transitional Living Home (TLH) that is now home to the young ladies who are transitioning into adult status – what an exciting time in their lives!

~ Praise God for Becky and Jim Lambiris  and all that they gave of themselves as House Parents to about 36 young ladies over the last four years.  They will be here through the end of June as we finish up the summer school portion of our school year.
