"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich."  ~ II Corinthians 8:9

Prayer Requests
Pray that our Agape Angels truly know the depth of God's love for them, and the richness of the gift that we were given when Jesus was born as a poor boy in a lowly stable so that we might have salvation and wear the richness of a robe of righteousness!

Pray for our girls as they go home to spend time with family for Christmas, that they are able to use the coping skills they've been learning the past few months at Agape, and that they remember who they are in Christ, so that hopefully they will have a more  blessed time with family.

"Faith is the assurance of the things we HOPE for, being the proof of the thing we do not see, and the conviction of their reality." ~ Hebrew 11:1

Pray for our Agape Angels to have FAITH to let the LIGHT of God's presence shine on their HOPES and plans.

Pray for the girls to accept that change in their lives is a good thing, and to embrace the HOPE of a better tomorrow.
Pray for His LOVE to fill the empty void that so many people try to fill with shopping, eating, partying, etc.

Pray for one of our Agape Angel who's mother passed away this past week, as she grieves this loss, while pressing in to move forward with her life on the path that God has planned for her; pray for the family to be strengthened and comforted by God as they go through these next couple of weeks, and that they will celebrate the life of their beloved Mother.

Praise God for the response to a 'Special Request' earlier this week for gifts for some children in need . . . your responses were heart warming, and will be a blessing on Christmas morning.

Praise God for the numerous volunteers stepping forth to assist in so many ways at Agape, whether it is through your gift of prayer, transporting an Angel to an appointment, spending an evening with the girls making dinner and just being there, helping with all of the maintenance to be done around the buildings, organizing closets, donating food, tutoring, assisting the office staff with computer set up or learning programs, assisting with marketing of this ministry, cleaning, etc. I think you can see that the list is long! Praise God as He meets each one of these needs by calling on you to give of your talents or time; you are all making a difference in the lives of these girl and their families!

"In all your ways, know, recognize and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." ~ Proverbs 3:6

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." ~ Isaiah 56:8-11

Pray that our Agape Angels learn the joy and value of His word and the positive affect it can have on their lives, not only for themselves, but for those around them.

Pray for the staff to continually be strengthened and not become weary with the task at hand of guiding these girls towards His ways and thoughts.

Pray for His love to be enough to overcome all that darkens their past and light up their future!

Pray for the joy of the reason for this season to fill the hearts of people everywhere with HOPE for a better tomorrow!

Praise God for the joy of Celebrating a Heavenly Birthday this past Sunday at Agape House with our 2nd Annual Christmas Open House. We are so grateful to Shar Schultz, as well as everyone else who came alongside of Shar, to make this event happen at Agape House.

THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS TO ALL!

“. . . how great are the riches of the glory of this mystery, Christ within and among you, the Hope of glory.”  ~ Colossians 1:27

~ Pray for our girls to desire to experience the best God has planned for them, and to know the joy of Christ within us and the Hope of glory that gives us.

~ Pray for everyone who is part of Agape House, the girls, staff, volunteers and all of our families, to have faith in the power and authority we have over the spiritual warfare we are experiencing, probably as a result of all that took place at the Informational Night, as testimonies were shared, and the lives of people were touched! Pray that we remember to speak truth into our lives, and walk in the glory of all that God has planned for this ministry.

"We are assured and know that all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and as called according to [His} design and purpose."  ~ Romans 8:28

Prayer Requests
~ Pray for our girls to TRUST the design and purpose God has for each of them, and that they come to know the joy that all things work together for good!

Praise Reports
~ For the joy of coming to the end of our first 9 weeks of school, and the girls seeing what they have (or in some cases) have not accomplished this 1st quarter.
~ For working heat in the gym again; thank you Tim Stoldt for fixing that problem this week!
~ For the volunteers who help with this ministry in so many ways, i.e., tutoring, teaching extra classes: PE, Art, Choir, Life Skills, Sewing, etc., mentoring, worship leaders, respite care and marketing - God is so good. Agape House is a ministry that is living proof of all things working together and fitting into a plan for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.
~ For the many donations of clothing, food items and office supplies that have come in this past week!

Needs
We are looking for a home for a 16- year old girl who was in the program at Agape House for the last 2 years; God has done amazing things in her life (but there is still work to be done). Unfortunately, her family hasn't changed. She would like to return to Agape School to finish her education, but she needs a home. We are looking for someone in the Walworth area who might be interested in having this girl live with them and come alongside Agape House and work in conjunction with us to continue helping her reach her goals. If interested, please contact Pam at 262-275-6466 or email at pam@agapehouseforgirls.org.

Mortgage Reduction Contributions - We would like to reduce the mortgage on the Transitional Home / Counseling Center we opened earlier this year. If you are interested in helping with this, please make your contribution to 'Agape House' and indicate 'Mortgage Reduction'.

Food Items: Snacks such as fruit in season, chips, crackers, granola bars, carrots, string cheese, yogurt, etc.

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."  ~ Zephaniah 3: 17

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations . . . bring out endurance and steadfastness.” ~ James 1:2-3

This Scripture is so appropriate for our girls and their families, as you will see by the prayer requests below.

~ Please pray for continued healing for these girls. We are approaching the end of the 1st quarter, and these girls have a lot going on within each one of them as they process the information they are learning.

~ Pray for those who have earned on-site family visits for this Sunday, that they will be able to rejoice in spending some time with their family, all while utilizing their new coping skills.

~ Pray for the families to recognize the changes in their daughters, and have enough understanding of His grace to rejoice in the benefits their daughters are receiving from this program. Pray that all of them "consider it wholly joyful."

~ Pray for our girls to be motivated to do their school work. At this point in their progress, this can be difficult because they are processing so much, so the school work tends to sit on the back burner.

Praise God for the joy of almost 300 people gathering at last week's Informational Night for Agape House! It was very exciting to see so many new faces, and know that they had a chance to see and hear how God is working in the lives of so many girls and their families at Agape. We have over 40 new people praying for our Agape Angels as a result of this event. We are also grateful for all who donated and/or purchased silent auction items, or made a donation to help meet the needs of the girls in the Teen Home/School, Transitional Living Home, Counseling or to reduce the mortgage debt of the Counseling Center.

Praise God for the lunch program at Agape School and how beautifully all of you are coming together as His hands and feet to serve meals to these girls on a daily basis. We needed 3 people to fill some vacant spots for next week, and they have all been filled!

VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

DRYER REPAIR NEEDED - we think the heating element is burned out. So if you are handy at repairing such items and willing to volunteer your time and/or materials, please contact Jan at 262-275-6466. It is a struggle having only one working dryer with so many girls in the Home.

If you are experienced with this task and willing to volunteer your time, or maybe you would be willing to sponsor the cost to have this service provided, please contact Jan at 262-275-6466.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen" ~ Ephesians 3:20-22

Praise God - this verse sums up so beautifully how we all feel about what took place last evening as almost 300 people gathered at Geneva National to see and hear what God has been doing in the lives of so many young girls and their families.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this amazing evening – from the girls who sang and gave testimonies, to the parents and other supporters who invited people to hear the story of God’s glory being shown in this place.  We especially want to thank everyone who organized the evening, donated auction items or helped in any way.  God has truly brought the body of Christ together in this ministry as He provides healing for hurting girls and families.

Praise God for the donations of milk, cereal and yogurt this past week.

Pray for the girls to know the joy of all that God can do through them, and that they recognize the Spirit working in their lives, in spite of how difficult it can be at times.

Food Items Needed for Girls:
- String cheese
- Fresh fruit, lettuce, carrots, etc. for snacks and salads
- Healthy snacks
- Salad dressing

~ Can you help provide a monthly scholarship for some of our newer students? The monthly cost for a girl to live in the Home and attend the School is over $1,000. Several of our parents are unable to pay that full amount. Anything you can do to help will make a difference in the live of these girls. Donations can be mailed to Agape House, P.O. Box 68, Walworth, WI 53184. OR, we have a PayPal donation link on our website at www.agapehouseforgirls.org. Or, call Jan at 262-275-6466 if you would like to make a credit card donation.

TV GIVEAWAY - Do you know someone who would like to have a large screen TV? We have one that was donated a few years ago, used by our previous house parents, and now sitting here waiting for someone else to enjoy. Call 262-275-6466 if interested.

Little Children . . . of God

"Little children, you are of God and have defeated and overcome them, because He who lives in you is greater than he who is in the world." ~ 1 John 4:4

Praise the Lord that God is greater; greater than any of our problems, and that He has already overcome them!  Please pray that our Agape Angels come to understand this and turn to Him, trusting that He will lead them and guide them along the path that He has planned for them.

Pray for the girls in the Teen Home, as they finish up 3 weeks in a new living environment, that they are willing to let go of the old ways in order to make a difference in their lives, for the better.

Pray for all of the girls that each and every day that they come to school they make the most of each opportunity presented to them, whether it be in their academic subjects, counseling, choir, art, gym, or any of the other outlets they are exposed to as they stretch their wings, seeking what God has planned for their futures.

Pray also for the families of these girls, that they are eager to learn new ways for their family to function, through counseling and parent group, and that they also do their home work in these programs so that they also can find what God has planned for their families.

Praise God for one of our students, Dani, who worked at her studies over the Summer, and finished up her high school credits this week - she now has a High School Diploma!

Praise God for the rain we've had this past week, and the joy of seeing some of the girls go outside to play in the rain, like little children!

Praise God, and thank you to all of you who heard God's call, for all of the needs that you have met on our wish, need list the past few weeks: cheese and butter (lots); pork for many meals; computer speakers; office supplies; donations toward an upcoming school field trip; meals donated for the school lunches, as well as additional food items for other meals in the Home; donations of art supplies; donation of CD players for the girls in the dorms; donations to help meet the expenses of this ministry; and volunteers who help to round out the program.  One of our needs has been someone to help us with our marketing program, and we now have a couple of volunteers helping us out in this area - God is so good!

Wish List: Do you have a leaf blower stored in your garage that you're not using anymore? We could really use one for the TLH, as there are lots of trees there, and it will make clean up that much easier this Fall.

FREE to a good home: We have an extra upright piano in the gym that is looking for a new home - call 262-275-6466 if you are interested.

May you find joy in each and every day in spite of the trials along the way."You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore." ~ Psalm 16:11

Peace and Blessings . . .
