Do Not Become Weary
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” ~ Galatians 6:9

Prayer Requests/Needs:
We have 12 t 15 girls who will start (or return to) our program in the beginning of September, and we need help in the following areas:

-      --  Food to fill the pantry, i.e., Oatmeal, Cereal, Juice, Raisins (small boxes), Granola Bars, Cheese and Peanut Butter Crackers, Pretzels, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Crackers, Tuna fish, Soup, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Vegetables, Salad Dressing
-      -  Money to pay the bills; we have fallen a little behind this Summer
        Beef, Pork, Chicken Donations Needed: if any families are interested in supporting someone at the Walworth County Fair and supporting Agape House, please consider purchasing an animal at the fair, and having it processed for Agape House – this would be a win-win for everyone!
- -  A few more people interested in serving hot lunch one time a month

We currently have less than $20 in our checking account; please prayerfully consider any way you (or anyone you know) can help; any amount donated will be appreciated!

Praise Reports:
~ For the new house parent’s getting settled into their new home at Agape! We are in awe of God’s provision of another couple with outstanding qualifications for this position, including a willing heart to server Him!

~ For the donation of a carpet shampooer and shampoo to clean all of the carpets!
~ For the donation of paint for the house parents apartment!
~ For the donation of a down payment for the blacktop resurfacing project!
~ For the work crew that came on Saturday, the 4th of August,  to work on many projects to be completed!

Items Needed:
Fresh fruits and vegetables for Transitional Living Home.
Folders – when you are shopping for school supplies, please consider purchasing a few extra folders, they sell for 10 cents each, to donate to Agape. Our favorite colors are red, green orange and purple. We easily go through 200 of these in a school year.

~ Vacuum Cleaner for Transitional Living Home (TLH)
~ Portable Basketball Hoop for adults for outdoors
~ Shuffles for classroom (4 to 6)
~ Queen-size mattress and box spring for Staff Apartment at TLH
~ Used cars in good condition (cheap) for girls in our program
~ Art Therapy Supplies: Tracing paper, sketch paper, thick paper for oils/water colors, canvas – med/large, chalk, and pencils for shading (dark and light)


Ways to help in the ministry of Agape House:

Capital Campaign – Resurfacing of ‘Blacktop’ at both Properties – If you would like to contribute specifically to this cause, please indicate ‘Blacktop’ on the memo line of your check.  We were given a fabulous quote of $4,500 for this much-needed project to help maintain the life of the blacktop surfaces at both properties.

Donations – If you would like to make a donation to Agape House, please mail a check to P.O. ~Save Sentry Receipts from Sentry in Walworth and turn them in to us – we receive a 1% donation of the subtotal of all purchases from this store through their ‘Funds for Friends’ program. Note: receipts cannot be older than 4 months. Thanks for your help!

~ Volunteer for Marketing to assist with promoting Agape House.

~ Volunteer to clean out the chimney in the fireplace at the counseling center.

~ Provide financial support to help with tuition assistance for a girl here; we have many girls whose families are only able to pay a fraction of the cost of the services we provide for them.

~ Volunteer to repair stained glass.

~ Bring in your Campbell’s labels and Box Tops for Education - ask family and friends to collect them as well.
