Forgive Freely

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” ~ Colossians 3:13

Prayer Requests:
~ Pray for the girls to understand that the burden of unforgiveness is too heavy to carry (like carrying a dead body on our backs), and thus, it is better to forgive and let God carry the burden.

~ For the staff working yet this month to get everything done that needs to be done, pray that we maintain peace and calm, knowing God will direct our path each and every moment of the day, and that we will be refreshed when the new school year begins!

~ For our House Mom who recently injured her arm, that it will heal quickly as she prepares to welcome 10 to 12 girls to the Home on August 28th!

~ For all of our Agape Angels who have come and gone through the program, that they will all remember who they are in Christ.

~ For God to continue to bring us the people who need to be here, to fill staffing and volunteer positions.

~ For wisdom and discernment for staff and parents, as we interview prospective new students, that they clearly know Agape Home and School is the right choice for their daughter.

~ For our Agape Angels as they enjoy the summer months, that they remember to turn to God each and every day for His wisdom and discernment, His comfort, His strength, and His love.

Praise Reports:
~ For the donation of a 25-pound block of butter!

~ For the donation of food items and folders from a VBS in the area!

~ For the donation of all of our cleaning supplies and paper supplies, throughout the year, from a local supplier!

~ For the enthusiasm of everyone helping to get everything ready for the reopening of the home and school.

~ For the volunteers who will faithfully return to Agape Home and School this Fall.

~ For a break in the humidity so that we can get outdoors and fully enjoy all God has created!

Ways to Help at this time:

~ Looking for the following for Fall 2011: Christian Counselor and Resident Assistant, as well as volunteers for classroom/field trip assistance.

~ Volunteer to repair stained glass.

~ Bible Study materials (contact Pam Patterson for details)

~ Sponsor a girl here; we have several girls that come from single parent families that have no money.

~ Provide finances to expand our counseling program. Our goal for 2011 is to open a Christian Biblical-based counseling center that operates on a sliding fee so no one is turned away because of finances.

Bring in your Campbell’s labels and Box Tops for Education - ask family and friends to help as well.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.” ~ Psalm 23:2-3
