"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, . . . He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners . . . " ~ Isaiah 61:1

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS NOW IN EFFECT: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 to 3:00 (or by appointment)

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~ Romans 8:38-39.

Praise God that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God! Of all that we have taught the girls this past year at Agape, this is key to the success in their future. Please pray that our Agape Angels remember this always, and that as they go through the trials and tribulations of life, they will first and foremost give praise and glory to God, trusting Him to be their guiding light, giving them hope for all eternity.

Praise God for the joy of celebrating our Graduation /Recognition Ceremony last evening as 18 out of 21 girls participated, with over 100 family, friends, staff and volunteers present. We are grateful for all who came to support and encourage these girls as they prepare to go forth in HOPE, choosing to follow the narrow path in life; facing the difficult times with courage and strength; and trusting that God has a purpose and a plan for each of them.

Please pray for the girls for the seeds that have been planted to be watered and for them to see the fruit of making Godly decisions in their lives.

Praise God for the lives of these girls (and their families), as it was obvious last night that they have been touched by the love of God that has been shown to them at Agape House. Knowing what true ‘Agape Love’ is, they can now take that knowledge and go forth choosing to live a life filled with joy, peace and love.

Pray that the girls who will be returning to the program in the Fall will remember with confidence who they are in Christ, and that they will be able to be a ‘big sister’ to the new girls who will come into the program, encouraging them in the way that others did when they started out at Agape.

In the closing prayer last evening, the girls were encouraged to live out a life filled with

We pray that each of you who support this ministry faithfully know that you truly are making a difference in the lives of many young girls and their families as you continue to fulfill God’s purpose and plan for your life by being a part of Agape House.

"Now to Him Who, by the power that is at work within us, is able to do superabundantly, far over and above all that we ask or think - to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen." ~Ephesians 3:20-21

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” ~ Galatians 6:9

Please Pray:
~ For our girls to find joy in doing good for others, and trusting that it will produce a harvest in their own lives!

~ For a need for respite homes for some of our girls this summer.

~ For good health for all of the girls and staff; some have been dealing with colds and other health issues.

Praise God:
~ For the cast party Jeff and Elke Ingersoll had this past Tuesday evening for the girls at their home, as a follow up to the Wizard of Oz performance! The girls had a great time outdoors, eating by a campfire and exploring in the woods.

~ For the donation of books from the Community Church of Elkhorn; there’s such joy in having new books to read!

~ For a wonderful afternoon of gardening at Agape; Shepherds College came over this afternoon. Fred and Gere Wissell made lunch for everyone, and then everyone went off to plant some flowers around the Counseling Center, as well as in front of the house parent’s apartment. They did a fabulous job, in spite of the gloomy weather, and it was a pleasure to spend time with the students and teacher for lunch and on this project!
