God’s Workmanship

“For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus, to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Prayer Requests
~ Pray that the girls will know how much God loves them; so much that he created them in the image of Jesus Christ, and that God has a plan for their lives.

~ Pray that people continue to respond to God’s request for financial support for this ministry.

~ Pray for continued healing for all staff and volunteers, especially Kelly and Becky.

~ Pray for the girls who are working through their issues in counseling, that they will know God’s comfort, while at the same time know that the hard work they are doing now will be worth the effort.


Praise Reports:
~ For faithful prayer warriors for this ministry and our Agape Angels! Prayers were definitely answered during their Spring Break, and we can see God working through so many issues with the girls.

~ For the determination the girls have after a week off to work hard on their school work; and especially that one of our students is completing a Science credit!

~ For one of our students who is feeling safe and confident enough to express her feelings, and setting healthy boundaries for herself!

~ For the donation of used, but good kitchen equipment: meat slicer, Bunn coffee maker and shrink wrap sealer for the kitchen.

~ For the donation of clothing, including swimming suits.

~ For six girls who will be taking ACT college entrance exams in April or June!

~ For the girls as they learn to deal with their issues in the classroom using appropriate behavior.

~ For the girls being so flexible and tolerant while Kelly is gone.

~ For the cohesiveness and encouragement among the staff and volunteers as we all pitch in to do what needs to be done - praise God!

Bearing Fruit

“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:8

Prayer Requests
~ Pray that our girls remain “in Him” so they will bear much fruit.

~ Pray for continued healing for all of our staff, especially Becky and Kelly.

~ Pray for our finances, as we have no reserves left at all.

~ Pray for one of our supporters who is mourning the loss of his beloved Mother.

~ Pray for our Agape Angels as they finish up their Spring Break, that it is a restful and fruitful time for them, and that they are using their coping skills to overcome the hurts of their lives.


Praise Reports:
~ For those who responded to our request to fill in the gaps for some upcoming lunches.

~ For the donation of fresh fruits, vegetables and lots and lots of cheese!

~ For the anonymous donation of a set of pans for the new kitchen.

~ For the gift of being still and knowing that God is God!

Discernment

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11

Prayer Requests

~ For our Agape Angels as they go home for Spring break that it is a positive and enjoyable experience and that they are able to use their coping skills as needed. And that all staff, volunteers and students have a wonderful, restful and spirit-filled break.

~ For the continued Christ-centered focus of the ministry and for all the staff to stay rooted, seeking His Word and will in all things.

Praise Reports:
~ For a wonderful turnout at our Open House last Sunday as we opened the doors for all to see what God has done here.

~ For a time to reconnect with our Agape friends, and to meet new people who heard about this ministry, and want to be a part of it.

~ For all of our faithful supporters who encourage us with their prayers and support – God is so good!

~ For the continued healing of the girls and their growing walk with our Savior. We are trusting You, Lord Jesus. Thank you for meeting each of us where we are at and loving us.

~ For the encouragement of the girls to one another.

~ For uplifting words and thoughtful notes.

~ For the work the girls did on Tuesday to help a single mom with cancer. God be praised for their efforts to work, even though many of the girls were not feeling well, this is a testimony of all His love and support has done and is doing and will do in their lives. Way to go, Agape Angels!!!!

~ For Becky's continued recovery and for seeing her walking around again. Yeah, God!!!! And, for the love she showers upon all of us.

Children of God

REMINDER: PLEASE COME SEE WHAT GOD HAS BEEN DOING AT AGAPE HOUSE ON SUNDAY FROM 1 TO 5 PM FOR OUR OPEN HOUSE; AT 3 PM THE GIRLS WILL BE SINGING AND GIVING TESTIMONIES FOR A PROGRAM IN THE GYM; REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED!

~ For eyes to be opened for the incredible gifts each child has been given, and that each girl may realize her gifts and begin to use them.

~ For hearts to be mended in Him.

~ For family relationships to be healed.

~ For healthy choices to be made in spiritual, physical, academic and social realms.

Okay to be Different

“The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.” 1 Corinthian 15:41


Prayer Requests
~ Pray for the Agape Angels to recognize it is okay to be different, to love and accept themselves without having to compare themselves to others, and know their splendor is a gift from God.

~ For healing for all staff members, and especially our House Mom, Becky.

~ For continued recovery and for the endurance and patience to run the race each and every day.

~ For continued strength, wisdom and discernment for our Resident Assistant, Stacey, as she steps up to the plate while Becky is recuperating.

~ For Ava’s comfort and peace as she mourns the loss of her dear husband. “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

~ For the gift of heaven and the joy in knowing that there is no more pain and suffering.

~ For communication and the gift of expressing ourselves orally in the written word, through song and especially through the loving acts of hugs, smiles and reassurance.


Praise Reports:
~ For the warmer temperatures and sunshine we have enjoyed this week.

~ For the sponsoring of an overnight trip to Chicago for the Agape Angels. This should be a well-rounded, cultural experience, as they will be touring the Chicago Architectural Foundation and the Chicago Cultural Center.

~ For a faithful staff of loving, caring, committed people.

~ For safe travel to our events.

~ For Anna’s presentation on the systems of our bodies and the amazing creation we are in Him.

~ For the chapel speakers and their phenomenal stories of who they are in Christ. Their message is right on His time.

~ For our new Agape Angel, Kayla. For an incredible week of learning and growing at our school and home. Thanks be to God for the privilege of teaching this precious child of the King.
