In Loving Memory of Dave Holmes

We would like to extend our condolences to the family of one of our volunteer construction crew, Dave Holmes. Dave would have turned 37 on April 3rd and is survived by his wife, Christina and his sons Austin, 13 and Kyle, 7. He passed away unexpectedly on Good Friday.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25 from 4-8 p.m. at Calvary Commuity Church in Williams Bay. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11, followed by a luncheon.
If you would like to be a blessing to his wife and children, donations can be made with checks payable to Calvary Community Church and a notation to the Holmes Family Trust.
We are confident that Dave is working with the Master Carpenter in Heaven, we suspect still wearing shorts and a tee shirt.
We are excited to be participating in the World Day of Prayer/Walworth County Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 1. The Agape School girls will be ushers, as well as performing vocally under the direction of Pastor Tom Hilker from Calvary Commuity Church. If you would like to attend, the event begins at 6:45, and the cost is $25 per person. Please RSVP to Tina at 262.275.6466 as soon as possible.
The girls will be heading to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission on Wednesday, April 9 to help serve lunch. We are accepting donations of the following NEW items:
children's clothing sizes 2T to 6, socks and underwear
vaseline
Men's spray deodorant, disposable razors, shaving cream, and socks
women's socks, underwear sizes 4, 8 and 9
Please drop off the items at the Agape School by April 4th.

March 14th Update

Please pray for the following:

We need to install the Heating/AC system, the cost is $40,000. It must be professionally installed because of liability issues. Please pray that the funds would come in, so that the renovation project can stay on schedule for the Teen Home to open in the fall.

We need to repair the plumbing that was installed in the School restrooms. The cost will be $3500. Please pray that God would meet this need, as He has faithfully met each one to date.

Please pray for the staff and students. Many of them have family members who are in ill health.

Praise Reports:

We now have nine students; we welcome Amanda to the Agape School. Please pray for other students who are considering enrolling in the school.

Thank you:

David Braid and Alltech Plumbing have been faithful in helping install the bathrooms and showers for the Teen Home.

Ryan Hayes of Haze Graphics for donating a temporary sign for the School. Please continue to pray for B & B Signs, that their roofing issues would be remedied, as they are donating the permanent sign.

Free-Flow Drain Solutions, LLC for helping with our recent plumbing issues.

Dee Bovial, Cyndi Lipka-Bares for volunteering time and efforts at the Agape School.

Tim & Jackie Stoldt of AAAJ Securities for donating cleaning supplies from their home-based business.

Tutors: Erin Kunes-Meisner, Pam Hoyard, Kim Gerlach, Paulette Thomas, Dick Price, Ellie Price and Krysta Zarnstorff

March Madness !!

I don't mind telling you this is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the game of basketball and I really enjoy watching the NCAA Men's Tournament, better known as March Madness, on TV. I have my favorite teams (Kansas, Michigan State) and perhaps you have yours....
Here at Agape House we have our own form of March Madness, better known as the renovation project to complete the dorm rooms for the Agape Home for Girls. We are seeing some projects underway, such as the addition of restrooms just inside the gym, and an added office on the second floor. We are currently awaiting the funds needed to complete the heating/air conditioning/ductwork portion of the dorm rooms. We need $40,000 to complete this, as we have to hire professional laborers for liability reasons. We are trusting to God to provide; if you would like to be involved, please contact us at 262.275.6466. After that is completed, we have the funds set aside, and the promised laborers to paint, carpet, and furnish the dorm rooms. We also need to finish the renovation of the house parent quarters. We are excited to see this phase to completion, so that we can open the Teen Home in the fall !!
